Harlequin shrimp

Alright ive seen one of these and couldnt find out what it was until not long ago. ive reserched it and realize it only eats startfish. My question is are these reef safe? Are there anything in particular that would try to eat it as there small size?

any non invert safe fish may try to eat them (such as some wrasses.) to the best of my knowledge they are reef safe.

The only fish i have currently are a clown, mandrin, lawnmower blenny, fire shrimp and a small puffer. i feed the puffer daily frozen krill and he leaves everyone alone.

What type of puffer? He may go after the shrimp.

its a small stars and stripes puffer.

I wouldn't risk it, seems like that would be a quick, and expensive snack.

Yeah i was afraid that would be the possiblility with the puffer.

IMO you should trash the puffer and get the shrimp. they are gorgeous. i plan on getting one myself.

yeah ive started thinking that myself. I only got the puffer cause the lady has always wanted one. But now that im looking at more options the puffer sure does limit me more then i originally thought.
