HIya!,
Friday, I tube fed her twice and she accepted all of it. She did not try to swim at all while I was there. However, from 10pm until I left at 1am, she continuously vocalized with a series of clicks. Not many of the animals we had during rehab vocalized very much. She is a chatter box. On the down side, she had a lot of foam coming out of her blow hole and her breaths didn't smell good. A sign of pnuemonia (SP?).
Saturday, I tubed her twice. She accepted all the first time, but the second she did not. This is the first time she has not accepted all of her food. She continues to vocalized. However, she has begun to make strides at swimming on her own. When I showed up at 8pm, she was swimming in her own and had done so for about a half hour. They were trying to catch her so we could tube her. About 8:15pm we finanlly tubed her. After thet, she tried to swim on her own for short periods of time. We still have a person in the tank with her at all times to catch her whenshe stops swimming. She has leaqrned where the walls are and avoids them while swimming. She no longer has foam coming from the blow hole or foul smelling breath. Hopefully it was just a false alarm.
So far so good...
