I am probably the last person on the planet that has never read one of the books or seen any of the other movies! I took my son to this one and I loved it without even really knowing much about it, I am now psyched to see the others and read the books. Really very well done and enjoyable.

the books are MUCH more intense, where the movies put enough in to keep to the story line and not be 6 hrs each. i think i need to see this one again to see if i liked it. it was so slow for a while, then all of a sudden it was done.

Ok, its a book...but there were several differences. I was annoyed that Harry handed over the prophecy to Lucius in the movie!!! Then it broke, but in the book, he (and Neville) never handed it over.
I am disappointed that Cho was given the blame for turning the DA in.
I am disappointed that no one was really hurt in the fight scene! I mean, why even need the Order? Hermione, Neville, Ron, Luna and Ginny weren't hurt!!!

to me it was a good movie but it didn't go with the book very well at all. They got the whole back bone but left some fun stuff out.
1. Harry never went out to with Cho
2. Dobby told harry about the Room of Requirement
3. Didn't show hagrid fleeing
4. Ron wasn't invited to the quidditch team (no quidditch at all)
5. Umbridge wasn't ugly.
Good movie but strayed from the book.
Rating 8.5/10

Yeah, that was supposed to be this one. Bummer, haven't gotten to see the movie yet....haha. I know, lots of spoiler warnings....

Seriously though, I've been sorta dreading the thought of seeing this one because I know how different it will be from the book and I loved the book....well all the books. And the way they gutted Goblet of Fire meant that there would be tons missing from this one as well. Eh...I'll still likely go see it this weekend.

I thought it was a good movie but it seemed empty. I wish that they would have shown more of the school year at Hogwarts instead of just like a few days. I was also dissapointed about there not being any quitich.
So for me I didnt think that it had the same feel as the others but it wasnt bad.

I thought "The Goblet of Fire" was sadly disappointing. I have not gone to see this one yet. The only one that was true to the book was "The Prisoner of Azkaban" IMO. I have read "The Order of the Phoenix" several times. The book was terribly disappointing to me in comparison to the other books. I didn't think they would actualy do a movie of this one to be honest. I cannot wait for the movie of "The Half Blood Prince" though. I also cannot wait for the seventh book. It is being released soon right? No one tell what goes on in it. That would just be wrong!!

The movies aren't as intence as the books, but they can't possibly be. To get everything into the movie they'd have to make a mini-series. I thought this latest film was quite exciting. My main issue with the first 2 films, directed by that hack Chris Columbus, was that they packed in as much of the books as they could - but left out the spirit and the excitement. Starting with movie 3 they've been much more brutal in cutting things out, but I think they're making better movies.
I'm in the middle of the last book right - very exciting! And I'm stuck with 2 copies of the book. I pre-ordered it from Amazon and checking UPS on-line saw it wasn't even on the delivery truck for today. So I ran out to Barnes & Noble and bought one. And just now UPS delivered the book. Idiots!
