OK now that I got you here..LOL
to make a long story short I will be truning my 240 reef ( 300 total h20 volume) in a fish only after a move late this month.
I was thinking of putting a queen angel in there for sure but also love the colors of the Emperior....I know i know they say that 2 large angels should never be put in the same trank.. has any one ever done this? experince? feed back?
I prob. will not do it just thought I would ask if any one has done it.

Back in the early '80's I kept a show sized Queen with a large Imperator and a Navarchus With success. Knowing what I do now, I would'nt try it again. I think I just got lucky

They say large angels of different genus will not fight. So your queen angel (Holacanthus) and emperor angel (Pomacanthus) are in theory compatible. In a 240g tank I would go with 2 small specimens. Sure they will probably start fighting as they grow larger, but tank acclimated, large sized angels are never hard to find a new home for.

in the waiting room of a doctor i go to they have a 180 gallon FOWLR with a queen angel, blue faced angel, and a flame angel. but i strongly suggest you dont try it. if you did try i i think you would better your chances if you got them both when they where small and added them both at the same time. if one got established before the other it would more then likely kill the newer one.

if you put them in at the same time it should be ok, i had a queen, french and emperator in a 240 for almost 4 years awhile back, they did fine

I have a friend whose juvi is now an adult, although Ill admit the coloration isnt quite as vibrant as an ocean grown adult. This could be due to many factors though and isnt necessarily the rule.
