has anyone ever been insulted for being obssesed with fish?

Why waste your time on fighting? Do you think that will change their minds? From what I've seen of video games thats what its all about , to see who can rip someone's spine out. B/c the obseesed gamers life revolves around a CRT tube and a controller. Wouldn't you be playing down to their mentality?
Besides when the girls come calling you have something to talk about and explain your careing and nuturing side. Gets um every time!

i dont really talk about my tank at school but my friend thought i was stupid for being obsessed but then we went to an aquarium and he was obsessed for a while. when people come to my house they usually leave obsessed.

i hate my parents. i have like $200 worth of allowance but they won't let me spend a single penny on fish!!!!!!!! only if my dad can get a job my mom would let me spend more or if i get into PI class (a high class in school) if i get into PI i have to change a whole new schedule and half of my friends won't be on my schedule

i haven't even got my christmas presents yet

hhm...not "insulted" per se - but my whenever my Dad comes over he breaks out his trusty little notebook and starts - loudly - listing ingredients for good fish soup.

probably because they cant afford to buy you any since you have a 200 dollar allowance. I wish i had even close to that growing up.
Oh, and if some fish nerd beats the hell out of a jock that thinks this kid is a wuss, well some respect is going to be earned that day.

since i'm chinese my parents are strict but i need to get real good grades which i always do in the A to A+ range. i'm not bragging but i'm pretty smart and smarter than most people in the 7th grade. i'm in the top 15 or 10 maybe. top 3 on my team and i'm still getting fish stuff, because my grandma on my mom's side convinces her. just need to get into PI and then i will be getting a 500 gallon tank

i second that. Do you know how stressful it is when you lose a job, and you barely have enough money to pay the bills? It's even worse when you have your kid saying "why can't i have this?", and "where's my christmas presents"... little do you know, they're just relieved they still have enough money for food, and to keep themselves out of foreclosure!!!
and i believe he was saying that he has 200 in allowance saved up... so he doesn't get 200 in allowance, he just has saved up his allowance and now he has 200.

Actually nobody has ever said anything but cool things about have a salt water tank. Until last night damnit. This girl I used to date was like "I can't believe you spend all the money on a fish tank blah blah blah. You always spent way too much money on stuff like your car." I was actually kind of pissed even though I just told her I like nice things so I spend the money lol.

I used to say it was really dumb for people to put so much money into cars... why spend all that money on something that's only going to depreciate in value??? But then my dad pointed out to me that i spend all that money on my fish tank. it's all for the same reason. I enjoy my fish tank, and they enjoy their pimped out cars... (which i still don't understand...)

Lol yeah I know what you're saying. For an "outsider" it's hard for them to understand. I told her I took it up as a hobby to learn something new and cause I love the tanks. She said "that's not a hobby!" I just told her just didn't understand everything that goes into them. I'm not mad by any means I was just kind of insulted.
As far as the car thing goes I've been in that scene for almost 3 years. It's just fun to make the car look better and go faster. I've spent way to much money on my damn car and was planning on selling it. (which I never did) I show my car more than anything so this is why I keep putting extras on it. Currently a buddy of mine and I are building a motor at his shop.

i bought a brand new car for the first time in 2004. i love it! I've always had used cars before, and i told myself that i would never buy a new care because it's a waste of money... now i totally disagree! My car is awesome!!!

My car is a daily drive just so you know. I also have noticed on here you do custom painting. I like your work from some of the pictures I have seen. I have a custom paint job on my car. It really takes talent, you're gifted!

i was watching while you were out on TLC one day, and there was a custom painter on there... he could draw a straight line all the way around a room with no ruler, or line or anything.. it was perfect, without any bumps or anything... that's so amazing!!! I have a slight tremor in my hand, so it would be impossible for me to do anything like that...

Yeah it's truely amazing I don't know how they do it. I know my way has said he was a custom painter. You've really got to be an artist and be creative. I think it's really awesome. I could never hold my hand steady enough to paint a straight line
