even after rinseing it off first.. i put in the sand and I COMPLETELY cannot see in my tank!! i took everything out first tho.... in three hours it has not gone away yet.. and when i just touch the sand it puffs dust up.. is it always goint to be like this/// HELP!!!!

Yep, i remember mine took a good week to completely clear. I recall poly-fiber filter pads worked well with removing the small particles. noticed a difference overnight. but a lil patience and it will settle on its own. the small particles will help you in the long run. I would have not rinsed it though, but you will still be just fine.

its been about.. 15 hours since i put it in, and i see a drastic change in how cloudy it was till now.. do you think i should turn my over flow back on now?

i'd wait a while longer, running the pumps just stirs it up more
