Just thought I would share an unexpected affliction on my tank courtesy of my 5 yr old son. While my wife was sleeping my son got out of bed to look at the 46 gal reef I am currently setting up.
The tank just finished cycling, and I added 2 perc clowns today. My son decided the clowns were hungry, and proceeded to put in several handfuls of spectrum pellets (of course the small .5mm pellets), and go back to bed.
I came home from work about an hour later to find the sand covered in a layer food. After an hour of vacuuming the pellets out, and running the water through a micron filter and breaking down the live rock to siphon the rest I am back in business.
I have had some time to calm down so the probability of my son's picture ending up on a milk carton is gone.
just wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences
