Has it Cycled

A friend of mine who has also just started a salt tank is seeing the following readings: PH of 8(which he knows is low) Nitrite of 0, Nitrate of about 20, and Ammonia of .25. Would it be correct to assume that his tank has cycled?

It's not done with the cycle until the ammonia is 0. How long has the tank been cycleing? Has there been a nitrite reading at all?

Yes there was, but it is now just about 0.

If this is the case, the cycle should be nearing the end. Just be sure the ammonia and nitrites are 0, then do a 10% waterchange to get the nitrates down. You can then add inverts and see how they do.
