Hatching sharks?

Howdy.
A friend of mine has some shark eggs they he wants to give me.
He says they are spotted reef sharks?.
(never herd of them myself)
Iv delt with a reef tank, and fish only saltware tank and have an established tank now.
I know I need to setup a small 10gallon to keep the eggs in and keep direct light off the eggs.
But thats about as far as it goes as far as sharks goes.
I hear that you can change the water temp and make the eggs hatch male or female?.
What are the temp ranges?
What should I be watching in the water with the eggs?.
Presumably I should be adding some kind of suppliment to the water to assist embryo growth?.

Probably a cat or bamboo shark.
A 10 gallon... no. Will need a BIG system. 120 gallons plus. More or less for water quality issues as it will only be about 7 inches when it hatches but I wouldn't trust a 10 gallon with a forming embryo of something as sensitive as a shark. The temperature may effect the --- from some point but I wouldn't worry about that. Temperature ranges should be that of a reef. 76-82 degrees.
Just good water change routine should be all you need to keep it alive until it hatches. As the yolk deminishes keep an eye on the eggs. At some point you may need to assist in opening the capsule.

Hey, "gender" might be a better word to use.
;-)
All I know is the eggs run for over $150 here (in florida)
Okay, thanks for the info.
I think an experiement is in order though. Ill keep one tank around 76 - 77 and the other at a steady 82. See what happens.
