Have a coral placement ?

I just bought a open teal brain and a candy cane corals. My ? Is do I place them high up in tank or at the bottom? My tank is pretty deep because it is a corner tank but I have a 250w halide on it. Right now I have the brain sitting on the sand on the bottom of the tank and the candy cane about two inches off bottom on a rock....my tank is 21 inces deep. Just wanna make sure they get enough light.
Also do I feed the brain...some info says yes and some no. What is marine snow?

I would leave the brain on the sand...and the candy cane maybe 1/3 up.......
marine snow is garbage.....I have some...LOL....but that was before SWF :)
You can wait until night when the brain has its tentacles out and blow some mysis on it......the candy cane too....
