Have a question about burning DVD'S for PC gurus..

can you use those to rip DVDs to your computer? i have been wondering about that for awhile, as i want to put my DVDs on my ipod.

Im not sure if they have to be reformatted to put on ipod .You can copy to HD and burn to DVD blanks ,but only as backups for yourself and not for resale.

Do you have a mac or pc? if you have a pc,, do a search for HANDBRAKE.... good luck!

yup, pc. i scan everything i download for viruses, but im still paranoid about them. do you know if this is something that could potentially mess up my computer?

Ive been using both programs for a couple of years and havent had a problem with either.
