I just recieved my Garlic Guard that I ordered in the mail over the weekend. Now, the instructions dont really tell how to soak the food in there. Hoiw much should I put into the container with the food? How much of my tank water should be mixed with the Garlic Guard? SHould I just pour all of the water in my tank after soaking? Thanks!

I treid the stuff and all it did was stink up the house. It did not help the fish eat any beter and it clouded the water. If you are trying it as an ick cure it will never work. That is my opinon fromonce trying the stuff.

What about Garlic Xtreme. Is it the same? I am just trying to boost my fishes immune system. Nothing huge.

I have been using garlic guard for months to help my blue hippo beat ich. And whether it was the garlic guard or the cleaner shrimp, or a combination something has worked. I dont ask questiona all I know is that my hippo looks as good as the day got her, and believe me I have had a bout with ich. I am sure that it is still in my tank, but as long as I can keep her happy and healthy, then so am I.
I soak food and algae sheets for 15 minutes or so every time I feed, and if I have any leftover juice on the plate I just pour it into the tank. Hope this helps.

So, do you put some tank water in a container, then put the food in, then put the Garlic Guard? Or just use the Garlic Guard w/o water.

I use a small tupperware container.....put maybe 1/2oz. of tank water, a pour of garlic guard then add a cube of formula one, cyclopeeze and pellets and put it in the fridge for the week (don't worry i don't feed all that in one night!!!) then when i go to feed i just use a teaspoon and spoon out the bits...and a little bit of the liquid as well.
hope that helps!!

I have Garlic Gaurd and it helped my fish!! The picky easters eat MUCh better. My fish are very healthy, big eaters! The colors are more vibrate and no ich trouble since I started using it. I'm a fan. I just pour in a little less than a teaspoon when i put in their flake food!
They love it!

Do you have a shot glass?
Frozen foods - If so take half a shot(no dont drink your tank water silly), add about 1 teaspoon of garlic stuff and then add your normal amount of food. Let it sit about 5 min before dumping it in.
Dry food - if it's dry flake then don't even get half a shot just add enough juice to cover the dry flake, stir around a few times and shovel it into the tank.
