HUH !
WHAT !!!!
They can break
Lord ... help me !!!!!! LOL !
Seriously - I've heard of some of the cheaper ones that have a seam - split down the seam. It's the way some plastic containers are made when they do the plastic injection mold.
I've never actually heard of a Rubbermaid or Sterilite container breaking. But I suppose it's always possible.
As it is with glass and acrylic.

I think with any rubber/plastic material, over time they can become less elastic, and more brittle, thus becoming prone to cracking.

Shouldn't and won't are two seperate things though...could have just been defective...

Always wondered who's lifetime they are going to warrant a product for ?
Lifetime of what ? The product ? My lifetime ? A flea ? A bristle cone pine tree ?

I was into Reptiles, Australian pythons mostly, for about 5 years. Of all the Rubbermaid containers I've seen......and I've seen guys with a good 500 plus in a well populated snake room, I rarely heard of even the small ones cracking, even when they are set on heat tape most of their lives. Wouldn't surprise me if the same guy that came up with Duct tape made the plastic Rubbermaids are made of! :D
Rubbermaid RULZ!
Larry
