Have you heard of Hydor Koralia Pumps

Has anyone had experience with these poweheads? I have just recently seen them on-line and in catalogs. Seem like the ticket if they work as stated and are quiet. Large movement and low energy cost which of course means low heat as well.
I may give one a try.
Google = Hydor Koralia Pumps
I appreciate any input.

They are awesome! I put a #3 in my 45 tall and it is doing great. Previously I had a MJ900 and an Aquaclaer 70. The single Koralia does better. I also noticed my temp dropped a degree or two so I think the two pumps were heating up a little. The price is very good as well.

I bought one and I was super excited about it for the same reasons. I bought the 600 gph one for a 75 gallon mixed reef and I got it and the thing is huge. First reaction I was very disappointed because of the size. I figured I could get rid of 2 pumps and go to 1 more effiecent pump. While I am able to do that the pump was hard to get to start. I had to take it apart and play with it to get the impeller running. Also it is very difficult to control where the water movement is going. I don't think I would buy another one. I am interested in hearing others opions.

I've heard mostly good things from these pump. The older model #2's were working fine for some time but then they began to shock people
I believe they fixed the problem. My LFS does not stock them because they are on a large back order.
I assume Hydor can't keep up with the demand.

I've got two of them in my tank and love them! The only downfall is their size, but it doesn't bother me.

They do seem to be something to try. What model do you have and what is the noise level?
I may try to tuck mine low behind some live rock pointing outward and then conceal the cord behind my vetrical rock formation.

Love mine. I have a 1 and 3 in my 55 gal. There was a problem intially with the 2's and 3's because they were shocking people. But I have done a lot of research on these and the problem has been resolved. If you happen to get on of the bad/old models, they will take it back with no questions asked. If you have trouble finding one, they are on the auction site quite often.

I use them in both my tanks, best thing going, and no more sand storms because they use magnets instead of suction cups.
