Having some bad luck

So you think I should just put everything in another tank and start over again? Should I be worried about possible chemicals leaking out of the rock, sand and equipment in the long run (don't care if it happens in the 20 gallon). I'd like to eventually move this all to a bigger tank and maybe put some of it in my existing 72 gallon.

Wow... tough one.
Me personally? I wouldn't use anything from the bad tank. If you can't id what is the cause, you can't be sure that you aren't going to introduce it to a new tank.
