Hawaiian Coral can you Identify?

Ok... just got back from my Honeymoon in
Hawaii Got plenty of pictures and Ideas....
Anyways, I sow this coral (at least I beliee it is a coral) at about 30 ft down, It opens and closes very rythmacly and looks like a large flower maybe even a rose when fully opened, this picture it is almost closed. unfortunatly the fully open pic didn't turn out......
anyways if you can help me figure out what it is, and if it is ok in an aquarium, or where I can find a pictured list of Hawaiin Corals, I would apreciate it.

Chances are, It was a clam. it was siphoning water in and out through the inhallent and exhalent byssal valves sifting plankton.

sure doesnt look like a clam, in truth its not really like anything ive ever seen!

definatly not a clam unles it had a vey small shell burried in the rock..... and the water was calm... It really looked more like a flower than anything else when it was open. definatly very beautiful though

what is a sea pen? I have never heard of anything like that before... where might I be able to find more information on a sea pen?

some sort of really large foramniforam? Ive seen what you have before but I cant recall the name... it was a long time ago..
