Hawk fish

Can i get a hawk fish if i have shrimp. this site states monitor with shrimp? do they eat them?

They have been known to eat shrimp yes. Expensive lesson to learn if you ask me.

Hawks do love shrimp. Mine bit a cleaner and sucked several hermits out of their shell while he was looking at me. There are several hermits still in with him that he has not bothered in the past year.

i've had a flame hawkfish for about 5 months with 1 cleaner and 3 peppermint shimp with no problems and no deaths.....

well i have had a cleaner shrimp in with a hawk with no problems. no sign of aggression towards the shrimp. but, if u are going to do it, i suggest buying a shrimp that is larger then ur hawkfish
