hawkfish question...

Hawks have to be monitored with inverts like shrimps.
The most "reef safe" Hawks are the smaller ones like the Falco and Red Spotted. I've kept both of those in reef tanks successfully.

Hawkfish are not a threat to corals or anemones that I know of. But as 1 said, Might pester/eat small crustaceans like pods and smaller pet type shrimps. The Archeye gets big as far as Hawks go and if you keep or try to add shrimp after this fish is established then might not work out. I have kept for years and added small cleaner shrimp into my tank with my well established Flamehawk and there was no problems there. Then again, its a much smaller species than the Archeye.....otherwords, risky with small crustaceans!!
