Thanks for the ideas. I wished I had known about the Universal VIP coming with the hotel stay.
Oh well, I will remember that next time. I don't want to change hotels because I have something going on work related at my current hotel.
I will call my friend tonight about the Busch tickets. I will take half price all day long.
Do you know where the Harry Potter ride is in relation to an older ride?

I think I read that it's back where the Jurassic Park section is (or was).

Yea, it's at the very top, adjacent to Jurassic Park, and where Dueling Dragons was. They're retheming DD as a Potter coaster. The castle is so huge, you'll see it for miles. They basically built it to out-do Cinderella's castle at Disney.

Noooo! Are they still using both coasters? That was one of the better rides at the park.

My bad, meant rethemed. They finished it last winter as they were still finishing the Potter area. Forget the new name, but the dueling coasters themselves are still there and unchanged, they redid the entrance/queue line.
Though IMHO, the new Hollywood Rip Tide Rocket roller coaster is just slightly better....

Well the first leg of the trip is done. We ended up going to Universal twice. Harry Potter was crazy. It took awhile to get into the exhibit and then awhile longer to get on the ride. I have to say the exhibit was cool and the ride was awesome. I did here that the day it opened was the craziest. There was a 6 hour wait to enter the exhiit and a 5 hour wait for the ride. The reason was due to the main Harry Potter cast being there for autographs. Anyway, after the HP ride, the rest of the park was easy. The lines were short but the heat was brutal the first day but ok the second day. I just love the Simpsons ride so we rode it 3 times. Its amazing how those simulated rides can churn your stomach. The mummy, hulk and spiderman didn't dissapoint either. The new rocket roller coaster was cool too. I suggest getting to that ride early since the line gets long fast. I chose to skip it and do other things first since there was virtually no lines.
Anyway, the hotel here was a good week to come to. There were 1500 sorority girls here for a convention. I just had to suffer looking at that scenery pool side.
Well now it's time to get on the road and head to the docks for the cruise. Bon Voyage!

Well I am back. Got in late last evening after 10 hours of driving. Didn't do anything when I got home except make sure the tank wasn't dead. Two corals got pushed to the sand but they seem to have landed right side up. So I went to bed ...
Today, I woke up and made my coffee ... dang it was good ... anyway, I heard something that sounded like water running and went outside to find the hose on and a lake of water. I guess the person that was watching my house watered my flowers and forgot to turn the faucet off. Well I hate to think what that is going to cost.
So after I turne the faucet off, I cut the grass, cleaned the pool and washed the cars. I just tested the tank and the parameters are off but not too bad so I will have to work on that. The pool parameters are off too so I will have to work on that too.
Oh, and my dogs have never been so happy to see us back.

Interesting response. Glad you got back home safely. Sooo, were you impressed with the second half of your vacation? I would've thought you would have mentioned that before talking about your house when you got back.

It's too bad you didn't stop over here in Tampa..I found 3 more LFS that are way better than the one I previously thought to be the Allah of LFS's.
Lets get that contest rollin!
Oh...and welcome back home.

Yeah I guess I should have mentioned the second half of my trip first. Though a lot of the cruise was a blur ... too much party rum! I lost my ass in the casino which was a bummer since I usually do pretty good when I gamble. Anyway, we went on a glass bottom boat excursion which was a waste of money. Sure we saw some coral and fish but it wasn't worth the money. The corals were scarce but the fish were ok to see. The Atlantis aquarium was awesome. The other excursions cost so much which was a real dissapointment.
I forgot how you have to deal with the locals selling you stuff. Never give them their initial price! I was able to get them down every time to what I was willing to pay. We didn't stay in Nassau for long so most of my time was spent on the boat. Man did I eat and drink to much and the scale proved it. I gained 6 lbs. Going to hit the gym hard today. It was worth it though. I got to eat a huge variety of foods that I normally wouldn't get to eat. My daughter also had an awesome time. She spent most of her time in camp carinival which turned out to be a huge hit with her. It allowed my wife and I to have a lot of time together which we were not expecting.
We are already talking about going on a longer cruise later this year when the rates are down since this cruise ended up costing quite a bit. I did see something interesting when we were going through customs after we got back. A lady in front of us said she was traveling alone. She was asked when she bought her ticket and she said she bought it the day the ship set sail. I guess those sort of answers raises red flags so she was taken to the back. It reminded me of a buddy who went traveling last year and got grilled for 6 hours in customs. He was stripped searched and everything.
Well enough about my trip. I have a lot of work to catch up on and Speg, I will work on moving the contest forward as soon as I can. It will either be today or tomorrow.

If you like to gamble, the WPT Poker Club is doing a nice 7-day cruise out of Miami on Nov. 7 - 14. You pay for the normal cruise (they say they have inside cabins as low as $400/per person), then pay another $200 to be allowed to play in their reservered Poker Room for the duration of the cruise. The ports are Caymans, Belize, Roatan, and Cozumel. When you're at sea or on the boat in the evening is when the poker tourneys are played. They have various tournaments where you have a $40 buy-in, or a Sit-And-Go cash game. The last two days of the cruise is the Final $150 buy-in tourney where you can become the 'King Of The Cruise'. Not sure what the payouts are. The ports themselves are worth the trip.

Well I will be leaving soon for Orlando and then the Bahamas and was wondering if there is anything that I should put on my “to do” list? I know while we are in Orlando that we will go to Universal and maybe the Magic Kingdom
. I don’t really care to do much Disney stuff since I have been there the last 4 years and I am getting tired of it. Wasn’t sure if there were any other attractions worthy of seeing.
I have been to the Bahamas several times but that was many years ago. I haven’t been there since Atlantis was built. I looked at things to do at Atlantis and they charge a lot!! I do plan to go snorkeling
but wasn’t sure if there were some other “to do” things that I shouldn’t leave out.
Any suggestions?
I really like epcot, they have a great aquarium there... Universal was fun.
