Quick question...Ok so i woke up last night and decided to go look at the tank and found that my shrimp was either cleaning or eating my new leather. My question would be is this normal?

Tanks looking good man... Just a warning, before you put in too much rock get those yellowtail damsels out cause they are very aggressive and any fish that I put in after mine had little fins ripped up because of him attacking them. Took me a whole tank breakdown to get him out.
And nice sneaks by the way...I'm a Jordan junkie myself

This is normal and they should not hurt your corals. I will say when I put in some Xenia my cleaner shrimp did tear two of my frags to bits, I was so mad, but then they left the 3rd frag alone. They seem to investigate anything new I put in the tank, but the Xenia was the only one they actually harmed. Not sure if your shrimp will do it, but my cleaner shrimp will clean my fish and it's very cool when you see it for the first time.

Thanks for the response on my question and sorry to hear about your xenias...my pepperment has left my leather alone ever since i took the picture of him on it so maybe i scared him away from it or he just lost interest either way it works for me
My cleaner shrimp attempts to clean my clowns but they are too small right now and bolt away when he tries to clean them.

I have taken both damsels out of my DT and they are in a little 10 gallon tank right now. I took them both out before i added my 2 clowns to the tank. I know what you mean with trying to catch them took me having to take out about 60% of my rock work to catch them

clowns kinda always act like their gonna breed, mine always look like their cleaning a nest. If they do lay eggs don't worry about saving the first batch, once they start they usually lay eggs periodically
