I've got two 24 gallon aquapods up and running. They both have dual VHO lights, both seem to have problems with heat.... they can go from 77 at night to 81 during the day!
Can anyone offer some advice to help keep the temps under control?
Thanks
Have you tried aiming a fan at the surface so that it hits the surface of the water and part of the light fixture? I did that and it reduced my temp which was 84-86 to 80-82.

81 is actually perfect for a reef, but too warm for a seahorse tank. So you are fine. Nature has the same temperature fluxes.
