my heater broke and i lost my frogspawn and open brain coral! my devil's hand is limping and my hammer is hiding my anemone is all shrinked up i cant find my cleaner shrimp and my star fish is not moving! i think the devils hand is still alive hammer is still alive and anemone is still alive. i have a 29 gallon tank and the temperture was at 90 degree. has anyone have the same experiance as i do? how did it turns out for u? and what is the best way to keep temperture at a constance level?

i had the same thing happen but i was lucky and only lost one coral i think. my frogspawn looked really really bad but it made a great come back. one way you can prevent that is to use 2 lower watt heaters in your tank. that way if one sticks on i wont be able to severly over heat the tank. good luck, i hope this helps

I find it best to put in two 50 watt heaters instead of one 100 watt (using these watts as an example)
Adjust each so it will do a percentage of the required temp raising when they both work and are adjusted the temp will be where you want it, but if one fails it will not be sufficient to raise the tanks temps to a very high temperature.........

Get the Big corallife thermometer with High and Low temp Alarms..
That has saved me tons of times...stupid heaters...
