Heater Problem?

Tell me if this sounds like my heater is about to fry. Its a Visitherm Stealth 150 watt. I have it set at 79 degrees. My house is about 75 degrees and the tank is 85 degrees. Now if i unplug the heater, the temperature in the tank slowly drops and stays between 78-79. Any help is appreciated. Im placing an order for stuff and i need to know if i should be safe and get a new heater. Its a year and a half old.

It may just be that the "dial" is off...
Try setting it at a lower temp and see it it holds a "consistant" temp...
Having a stable temp (in your desired range) is more important than what the dial reads...
On the other hand, Visitherm is a cheap brand (hence inaccurate dial) so it may be time to upgrade...shoot for two units with a total of 5 watts/gallon total...

What would you recommend buying? Would 2 units be too much in a 46 gallon? My house gets warm in the summer months. I dont have central A/C.

I've had 1 customere that bought 3 different Visitherm Stealths and none made it a week, due to poor quality of the heater....They shorted and were tripping breakers.

I like Ebo Jager, but I've seen conflicting reports that they are and aren't totally submersible......At my supplier they have a sign that states they aren't and I have just recently tried running one submerged and it didn't fair to well, so I'd have to say from personal experience the newer ones aren't.
My personal choice of heater is the Jalli Titanium heater.....I run an 800W heater though, they do make smaller ones, but I think the smallest is 500W.

I looked it up online. They do sell Jalli from 50w and up. 150w is all i need. Comes with the temp controller. Its around $30.
