Heater problem

My tank temp dropped last night. It's stays at 76.5 all day. This morning when I checked on it it was at 72. I was thinking if I run another heater on a timer at night 4 degrees higher at night to keep the temp the same. I don't know if the heater I have is going out or what i should do.

Buy another heater you should run two anyway.What kind of temp gage are you using?
