heaters does anyone use them

I have been wondering if I should use a heater on my new 30 gallon tank. Because I heard that you shouldn't use because the saltwater will make them malfunction.

But I was worried that the temperature would fluctuate to much without one.

YES!! Definately use one. Just make sure you get a seperate thermometer to make sure it stays at the right temp.

Definitely use one!!! You really dont want the temp to fluctuate more than 2 degrees in a short amount of time. Stability is one of the most important keys in this hobby.

You definitely need one IMO - and a GOOD one - a good fully submersible heater. :yes:

I've actually gone all summer with out a heater and have yet to buy one for my newest tank.
but then again, I live in Florida and my tank stays around 80 degrees no matter how high the air conditioner gets...
I'll have to get one soon before the temperature starts to drop.
You definitely need one.
