I could not be happier!
I have watched and loved his work for a long time. From cheesy teen flicks, to action movies to the very serious.
10 things I Hate About You, A Knights Tale, Brokeback Mountain and The Dark Knight.
Its an odd mix, but he pulled them off well.

I haven't seen the movie but at least everyone seems to think his performance was worthy of the Oscar. Sad thing is he probably would have got it even if his performance didn't deserve it. .

You should totally watch it! Its great, very dark, but great. And, if you haven't seen Batman Begins, you should watch that one first...

I dont know about that. There have been plenty of good performances that were not given the award after the actor died. This is only the second time in 81 years they have it to an actor who died.
The academy is usually fairly stingy.

At least the leading actor and actress oscars weren't 'outsourced' like half of the other one's were...

A bit off topic but HollyWeird's pompous elite people suck.
I cant stomach to watch them "not act".In real life mode ,most of them are repulsive.

When i first heard the oscar nod before the film even came out I'm like great... someone dies and they just have to give them the award.... yeah then just watch the movie... the Joker totally makes the whole movie.

No but this was the first time they started touting the dead actor for an Oscar before the friggin movie came out.
Not to take anything away from Sean Penn who is a first class actor as well as A-Hole but most people were saying Frank Langella was by far the best performance in Frost Nixon. I guess the academy had to decide which movie was the most PC LOL.

A fine example of this would be Mel Gibson ,his cast, and his work getting totally snubbed for "Passion of the Christ" In my opinion one of the best movies ever if not the best.

Pfffffffttt ... like that was a shocker. Everybody knew he was gonna win the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor anyways. I thought the Oscars was boring as usual. The Wrestler should have gotten Best Picture ...
