Should I put in two 250W heaters or one 500W heater? Thanks =)
nycbob Active Member Sep 17, 2007 #2 i'd put 1. i hv one in my 150 fowlr tank. i just put it near the middle.
beadebaserrrr Member Sep 17, 2007 #3 sounds good to me, that's what i'll do then. (i am setting up a 150 fowlr too)
scubaguy Member Sep 17, 2007 #5 Totally agree with TriGa22, if one fails then the one you have will work hard but should keep your tank warm till you get another one. I have a 125 and two heaters just for that reason. IMO

beadebaserrrr Member Sep 17, 2007 #6 oh wow, i never thought of that. it would be cheaper that way anyway for me..
ncoastconstceo Member Sep 17, 2007 #7 I'd do 2 heaters, never hurts to have a fail-safe, I have a 180 and I use 2 250's works great!!!
beadebaserrrr Member Sep 17, 2007 #8 that is what i was going to use for my 150, should i stick with the 250s or another watt?
scubaguy Member Sep 17, 2007 #10 I have two Visi-Therm stealth heaters for my 125 and the are rated: 250W 15" 75 gallons so it should work for yours.
