my coral cat shark will swim around like crazy anytime of the day once the smallest drop of food goes in the tank..i have to throw in so much food at the same time so some of it makes it past my blue cod grouper..if it doesnt then i whip out the feeding stick. I always feed my SFE with the stick cause he doesnt stand a chance against the shark and grouper. good luck with the bamboo

thanks, it is a blue cod grouper..he is a beast., hes got some nice color too. Yeah the shark is as healthy as can be...he will eat anything i put in the tank and he is very active

what are you feeding yours.I have a spotted bamboo about 8 inches long if that.although mine is in my refuge to my reef right now.check your amonia and nitrates and def ph and temp of the tank they do tend to prefer cooler water 78 degrees i think is what I keep mine at.I also hand feed mine but the tank is only 18 high until I upgrade.after a while he will get used to you and start coming out more for you.add garlic extreme to his food he will smell that very quickly and learn to respond by it.mine eats small krill mysis shrimp and squid,he spits up clams lol.what type of filtration are you using?trickle of hang on type?

thats a very nice lookin shark.. ,my bamboo is actually very healthy and egtting big fast and i just yesterday bought an SFE it hasnt eatin yet if i cant get it to by tomorow what should i begin to do so it doesnt starve?

Unless you have added more live rock, then you really need to if you just bought a SFE. They need quite a bit of rock work...the exact opposite of your shark.

i am not sure what the difference is between a black dogface and a black pearl...he is all black with white on his fins,tail and around his mouth

OH GOD NO. BIO OVER LOAD NOT TO MENTION THEY ARE UGLY FISH

Seriously The only diffrence in our tanks will be the size . I don't think I will get a sohal tang . and the SFE might stay in my 125.
