hedge trimmer vs finger...

got myself really good last night...
i've got three slices in my left index finger it's not bleeding much anymore, so i'm hoping i'm not going to need stitches...

Ouch! Are you up to date on your tetanus? Keep the site clean. They sell butterfly bandaides at most drug stores. They will keep the cut closed while healing.

Ohhhhh nice, never felt the wrath of a hedge trimmer... but it doesnt sound pleasant. I did run my hand into the propeller of my -- plane once though. That was most unpleasant, prob 20 or so slices from the palm of my hand to the tips of my fingers. I was lucky the engine was idling or things could of gotten ugly.
Well heres you excuse to get out of some hose chores for a bit...

dunno... last tetanus shot was in 2002, how long do they last?

oh, that's good i had also cracked my knuckle vs a rusty flag bracket while taking the siding off a shed this weekend... and i hate shots... so woohoo

i have a chunk of flesh dangling and moving under the other cut in flesh... it's nasty and friggin painful to dig skin out of a wound so it doesn't heal wrong LOL.

No to add insult to injury or anything but tetanus shots tend to be pretty painful.. LOL. Especially for the next few days after you get them...

I don't maybe just me, but this sounds like there is a need for real medical attention, not just a coral fragger self doctoring.

ehh the chunk is only about 3/8" long 1/4" wide (maybe less). it's just dangling there.
its the 1/2" slice it's next to that it keeps going under that is the issue.
hydrogen peroxide, antiseptic spray, and triple antibiotics are all i need.

YOU HUSH UP . If he seeks medical atention they will fix it right . As a man its his duty to insure it leaves a COOL scar . Proof of his trauma that he can at a later date share with his male friends while consuming beer .
