Hi, everyone, I am new to this hobby, my name is kevin. I would like to post some pictures of plans I have drawn up for a custom corner 130 reef with fish. set up with a sump/fuge. My question is, should I post them in this thread, or lighting and equipment, do it yourself thread. this site is so cool, it has so much information! I thank you all , Kevin ps forgive my spelling and grammer please. thanks.

If you want tech advice you might want to post in the other forum, but everyone hunts around for neat stuff, so shoot......

Welcome, welcome!

It's also much easier if you upload the pics to something like PhotoBucket. Then, you can just cut and paste the link to the picture.

o.k. cool someone is still here, so i will keep going. skimmer is a euro reef 180 the first section in the fuge is for crabs, worms food that i can grow , may keep dark to help, that is one thing I wanted to talk about. the second section is for the plant life . the front section will have a viewing glass 38 inches long with tons of live rock. a real refugium if you will. the connecters between these tanks will be 2 inch b/h exept for the one between the skimmer/swide which will be down turn to the collection chamber of the fuge. with the 2 1 inch drains from the main tank i will be delivering 168 gph to the pump side of the sump and 807 gph to the fuge side of the sump ie skimmer side also tank 2 will be delivering[out of 1 1/2 inch drain line 152 gph to pump side of sump and 148 gph to fuge side of pump wich will be giving me 955 gph through the fuge which should be 15 times turn over for the fuge the little tank with the mag 5 rated at 500 gph i am est will return 300 gph which will be a 15.27 turnover gph main tank will get est975 gph with the pcx-70 so that will beappx8.14 turnover from fuge and the closed loop with the barracuda est water movement at2925 gph for a total of 3875 =32.37 total turnover.wow.wow.wow.any if nobody answers for a while i will totally understand. but this is a first draft and any and all advise will be taken in like a sponge. thanks ken

Welcome! :cheer: I'm not the technical one in the family as my husband made my stand and plumbed my tank, now I get to do the fun stuff. But from what I can tell, looks like you are going to have a great set up. Can't wait to see it materialize.

welcome to the hobby! dont get discouraged if your questions arent answered right away sometimes it takes a bit for the experts in certain areas to make the rounds. good luck with your tank it definately is an interesting plan.
