Hello.. May i have EEL advice?

I have had a goldentail for 6 months before it went carpet surfing. I liked the eel... but i wasnt happy with the way i had to feed it, (with a stick) because a trigger and wrassse will steal the food 90% of the time. Will a tess or more aggresive eel just come out n get the bacon? If so i want one

usually the golden tail will come out and get food. was he small. i would try getting a large one that can compete with the triggers if you like it alot.

More often then not you are going to have to use the stick...
The eel has to smell the food before it will come out to eat, poor eye sight... the trigger is going to eye anything it can see. So more then not, the trigger is going to see the food before the eel can smell it. The type of eel is not going to change this because all eels are in the end eels.

try putting some food in the oppisite end of the tank where the eel is so the trigger and wrasse go for that....then u can feed the eel!
