!HELP! Added Calcium and now Super Cloudy-Will Fish get hurt

My calcium was low, around 330-340 so I went to the LFS and picked up some Tropic Marin Bio-Calcium. I read and read, it said that you should use 1 level scoop per 5 gallons of water, MAX dose is 1 scoop per 5 gallons per day. I have a 60 gallon tank with wet/dry that I added 52 gallons of water when I set it up. The tank has cycled and has been running for about 2 weeks after the cycle.
SO, I decided, I used 50 gallons of water, it says 1 scoop per 5 gallons per day. Since I wanted to add it gradually I cut that in half and I used 5 level scoops instead of 10 level scoops, HALF the recommended max dosage. After it mixed in my water got EXTREMLY cloudy, as in, you could see about 1 foot through the water max, but really only about 6 inches well.
Anyway, it has been 3 hours now, and the water is still pretty cloudy. At first the fish freaked out and swam around eratically and then stuck around the edges, I guess so they could see out. Do you think this will hurt the fish? After about 5 minutes I decided they would be less Stressed if I turned out the lights so they would be in darkness and not really tell that the water was so cloudy. I guess really I wonder if the calcium would really hurt them.
If so, why does it say to use so much, I used half the amount and I couldn't believe if I had used the full MAX dosage.

Your fish will be fine. It will clear up by the morning.
Test your cal. again tomorrow I think you will find you need to cut the dose in half again. are you aiming for about 450ppm?

I was aiming for about 400-410.
From what it read, 1 scoop per 5 gallons will raise it 28
So I figured what I put it, half that, would bring my 340 up to about 354, then in a day or so, I would do it again and get it up slowly every other day. I now think I will just do 2 scoops a day.
And yes, it did clear up about mid day next day. It did raise it about 10 also, so I will just do 2 scoops a day and check it after 24 hours, then do it again until I get it where I want.

If you added any saltwater at the same time, that'll do it but it will also leave lines of calcium on the glass. You just need to figure out the uptake of calcium in your system. I never go by the directions. I start with minimal and gradually increase if my testing tells me too.

Are you going to have corals in this tank? if not then there is really no need to use a calcium addition as water changes will take care of it, unless you want your tank covered coraline algae, then it's fine to keep it up like that.

You need to suppliment magnesium first. Putting magnesium in before calcium will block whiteouts.

I found (and let me know if I am doing something bad) that if I sprinkle it on the surface of my water in my Wet/Dry the pump will dispurse it nicely. The water gets slightly less clear, but NOTHING like the first day. What I have been doing is adding 2 scoops a day, it seems to be climbing gradually. I think one more day and I will be at my target of 400.
As for Coraline, that is the red looking hard stuff, kinda looks like it is part of the rock, kinda a little purple'ish. Yes, I like that, the live rock I got had a little on it, it appears to be spreading so I thought this would help it. Am I right?
As a side note, my dkh is rising daily, is this any way related to the calcium. The addative I got said it was just calcium. I did buy some dkh buffer before because when I first setup my tank the alkalinity was low, I buffered it from 6 to 9, but have added no more sense then. It now has risin about point every 2 days. I thought Calcium was depleted by alkalinity. So, what causes Alkalinity to rise?
FYI, I have still had NO increase in Nitrite or Nitrate or Phosphate, all seem to stay at 0 or so close you couldn't tell it wasn't 0. THis is now a 12 day old (after cycle) tank. 60 gallon, FOWLR (about 70 lbs) with 5 green chromis and 2 tank raised clowns, 10 Snails, 20 small crabs (i think hermits, really small, like like the size of a sunflower seed), and 1 Red Serpent Starfish.
