I currently have a 55 gallon tank with a mature Puffer which looks like a Spotted Puffer or a Star Puffer which was given to me. I am looking to expand my fish in the tank and was wonder what would be some good companions for the puffer. There is also a good amount of live rock in the tanks also. Thanks

How big is he? 55g is too small for a puffer to begin with.

Are we talking about the Hawaiian spotted puffer? If so, that is a toby puffer and is perfectly fine for that tank. Furthermore, there are a lot of things you can mix with that fish. We need to determine what kind of puffer it is first, though.
