HELP!!! angle fish in trouble!!!

i just baught a blue faced angle fish a few days ago and behavor was normal untill just a few minots ago. i came in to check on him and he is on his side his colors are faded and breathing very fast and dont know what to do i am afraid he is gng to die if i dont do anything. i got the water tested yesterday and it was all good in the qt that he is in. PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi,

First you should at the very least have test strips so you can keep tabs on the ammonia levels, you should not be relying on tests from anyone but yourself.

Next, do an emergency water change
because it sounds like an ammonia spike. It doesn't mater if the water quality was good yesterday...today it isn't, ammonia can spike at any time and quickly kill. You should always have change water on hand for such emergencies when you have a quarantine running. In the future, having macroalgae in the quarantine tank will help maintain water quality.
