I was looking at my tank to se if anything new has come out of my LR (about 90lbs) in a 75 reef. I notice this .25 inch or so beetle like looking thing. I saw a thread on this type before but his was white. mine is a hard grey with HUGE black eyes! UGLY looking thing:eek: I got a syphone hose and got close to him and he took off. He was so fast that i cannt tell if he swam away or hidden in the rock. It look like he was moveing stuff around on my LR. What would he be movein around? Is this guy bad for the tank? If so how do you get rid of a fast guy like that? Is there a trap for him or something? I wish I had a camara but I would like to see pics if any1 has any of this guy that I am concernd about. Thx for ur help Rick

sounds like a pod of some sort. Most are good, but a few out there arent good for the tank. Have any fish suddenly died for no reason? If you can post a pic it would be easier to identify, although im sure there are some experts on the board, that can identify with just your description.:D

if you think this thing is a pod then I dont want any of these UGLY things lol. There was like 2 sections of this critter. Body with a small neck like thing and a small head with huge black eyes. Maybe if someone could post a pics of a pod that might help me some i hope. When this guy was moveing on the rock he was moveing quiet fast. No I haven't had any fish die lately.
