Help!!! Brown Algae & Hippo tang w/white freckles

Help!!! 188 gal tank covered with Brown algae, my wrasser commited suicide,and my hippo tang is starting to get white looking freckles on his nose!
Is this all tied into each other???
Please help I've had this tank for 3 years now without any problems...

Sounds like ich on the tang. Do you have a QT to put the tang in? What are your water parameters?

Well first off what are your water parameters?
What kind of filtration do you have?
What kind of maintenance schedule do you run?
How is the tank stocked?
When is the last time you introduced a fish?
Do you quarentine new arrivals?
