My LTA got stuck in a canister filter intake tube. I had to cut the plastic slitted piece open to get mine out. I dont know about an overflow. Unless you can slide it out any other way...

The weirdest thing happend Sat. night, I was sitting at the computer when I heard a suction sound come from the tank. This was about 2 am so I was concerned. I looked in the overflow and didn't see one of the bta's looked in my sump and there he was. I picked him out and he is doing fine in my tank. Now just got to wait until the other one does the same I guess. Here is a pic of him

my stupid LTA moved again and got sucked into another slotted intake that I had to cut open to get him out. It happened when i first got him so i put sponges on all my intakes. I noticed that they were severly restricting the flow and my tank was getting cloudy. So i figured since my anem hadnt moved in so long that he was good where he was. I was wrong...as soon as i took the sponges off, that night he moved and got sucked up. hes okay...just a little shriveled where he was caught.
im going to make a netted/screen cover for all of my intakes now. i hope they work better than the sponges!!

Sorry to hear that , glad he's ok. It might have moved because once u took the sponge off it put to much flow on it.
