Help, can anyone tel me what this stuff is?

Just got this LR on fri// It is in a 55gal no fish yet. i won't to move the fish later. There is stuff on my rock and I do not know if its good or bad,but it doesn't look good to me....if anyone can help please let me know..in the purple pics you will see circle like things theses have developed into circles since yesterday, and in reality it looks like the stuff is fuzzy? And I have no clue about the big white thing in theother pic....

They look like sponges, if so that's a good thing. Sponges need high water quality.

I have to admit that the first picture is pretty nuclear looking. But I think that is some type of sponge that grows on rocks. If it is, then it is OK and actually can help your tank. I hope someone smarter than me confirms it though.

I'm vigorously looking up sponges now...I'm terrified of putting my fish in there if its bad....all suggestions are certainly welcome!

If you just got your live rock Friday can we assume your tank has not cycles yet? If not, you can always let it cycle and see what develops or what it turns into. You don't want to put fish in there right now anyhow if you haven't cycled ...

Nope no fish untilits done I am testing ammonia and trites, I'm guessing like in two to 3 weeks it might be ready for hermit crabs and snails. My goal is to mive the fish in my nano to the new tank
1 royal gramma
1 yellow tailed blue damsel
2 green chromis
1 cleaner shrimp
4 crabs and 4 snails
and then add some friends one at a timemlike an angel of some type and a couple of others.
