Help caring for lettuce sea slug

Anyone know the proper diet and care for a lettuce sea slug?
Any other info would be helpful, the pet store it was acquired from didn't really sound all that knowledgeable. I thought I had researched it before purchase, then after reading for awhile, just like anything else on the web, found many contradicting guides
thanks,
Pam

The lettuce one needs lots of bright green algae to feed on. If not it will starve.

Thanks, wasn't sure what type of algae, some sites said brown, others, the hairy ones. Also another point I was worried about is I have seen many stories where they will eat all the algae before new growth, do you know of any suppliments it would go for?
also do you know any good sites to get maybe the correct info on
Thanks

Actually the lettuce nudibranch eats bryopsis....I hate to tell you this, But it will most likely starve.....I had some bryopsis...once it was gone...well so was the lettuce nudi :(
it will not eat anything else

are you asking if you can buy bryopsis???? If so....BELIEVE ME, you do not want it....it is an invasive "bad" algae

Most nudis and sea slugs need very specific diets.....they sell them cause everyone thinks they will be the one to keep one, and they are neat looking.....I TRIED to keep one :( and I failed.
Some people ..who live in bigger towns...join reef clubs and they swap them. This way you get the slug....it helps with your problem....then you pass it along to someone else who has an algae issue
I live in a teeny town....so no such luck for me
