Help - Don't recognize algae!

I have recently noticed algae growing in my tank. I have Green haired algae every once in a while but the crabs and snails keep it at bay. But recently I have noticed and orangish-brown algae and a brown haired algae growing on my sand. I was wondering if anyone knew what it was and how to get rid of it or what causes it. should I be concerned??? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What are the tank specs as far as filtration and power heads? How long has it been running? What is your nitrate level?

We have the exact same thing in our tank. I came on here to see if I could find the answer. We're new to this, and I'm glad to see we're not the only ones with this problem. Good luck

are you using tap water?
