Help: Feeding clowns

I'm about to get a pair of clowns and I want to know what I should feed them? I spoke with the guy at the LFS and he suggested TetraMarine Saltwater Flakes but I understand there needs to be a variety of food for the clowns? How do you feed your clowns and how often?

I feed mine frozen mysis or frozen spirluna (I never spell that right) brine shrimp. They come in cube packs.... all my fish in both tanks eat like they've never eaten before. If I'm really lazy I feed flake but that's "maybe" once a week.
I usually feed 2 days, then take a day off, then two days again.

i feed my clown pellet and flake three times daily...in small amounts of course...and then once or twice a week i soak some mysis in garlic and feed him that. how often you feed them is up to you...some people like me feed a few times a day...some only feed every other day...it just depends on what you want to do.
my clown loves pellets most of all, sometimes he dosent even eat the flake or mysis.

Unless you really watch what you're doing I'd highly advice against several times a day. Super easy way to overfeed and thus leading to many other problems. Not saying your wrong for doing so but....... most fish are overfed to begin with and then to give info on feeding several times daily like the instructions on fish food scares me.

thats a real good point. im really concerned about doing that so i actually only put in 1 pellet/flake at a time and make sure he eats it before i put the next one in lol. but the point is...make sure you dont overfeed. and really...you dont need to feed several times a day, i just like to cause i like watching my clown swim to get food and dart back to his nem.

LOL... I wasn't saying you overfeed but that could easily be taken by someone else as -- oh I can feed any time of the day and just dump some food in.
That's all I was trying to avoid

lol, i knew what you meant. haha i hope nobody just dumps food in several times a day.
