HELP!! Fish breathing "hard"!

I just added a 1" six line wrasse last night, and a small Flame Angel today.
They are both breathing very "hard".
All of my parameters are "ideal".
What could be the problem?!
Not enough oxygen?

Check your water again. Make sure you didn't have a sudden spike due to the extra bioload you just added to your tank.

Just checked again...
All parameters are "ideal", except ALK, which is a little high due to adding marine buffer to sustain the 8.3 PH...

Do you have powerheads going in your tank? Any surface agitation? Did you have your lights shut off after putting them into your tank? It might be stress.... :happyfish

No power heads...
Its a 37 gallon tank with a Fluval 205 canister filter rated at 110 filtered gallons per hour.
I do have the canister output located so there is surface agitation.
Yes, the lights are usually kept off the day something is put into the tank

It's always been my understanding that you want to be moving at least 10 times your systems water volume every hour. So your minimum water flow rate is 370, and if the Fluval at 110 is your only circulation, you need some more. A powerhead would probably be a good idea.

I believe 10 times is the flow rate for a reef system. 4 times is the flow rate for a fish only.
The 100 gph flow rate is the flow rate with all the filters in the canister, it is rated at 180 gph, and up to a 40 gallon tank.
