Help Fish Stuck!

Blue &$^&#*(!"dam"sel got himself stuck in live rock.... while adding new piece of figi ...silly fish swam into hole of existing rock...and is stuck!!!!! all you can see is his head (eyes and forward) sticking out of hole...and sucking water like a marathon runner sucks wind...
Problem is i can reach his rear - the hole is kinda a cave/tunnel throught the rock...so i cant reach him!

what to do~!

any suggestions...anyone!

might try turkey baster. try to force water in,if he got in are you sure he is just adjusting to new setting? just a thought.

Find something long that you can use to poke through the hole and push the fish out. Otherwise, as a last resort get a hammer and chisel and carefully break the rock away until the fish is free. Of course, do this out of the tank and as quickly as possible.

I would count your blessings and get him out of the tank when you have the chance, In a couple of months you will be back on here asking.."How the hell do I get this damsel out of here without taking 100# of LR out of my tank?"

LOL.... your probably right... unfortunately, he wiggled himself out...but he tore his belly trying to get out...and I found him dead in my tank about 5 minutes ago... thanks for everyone's help...I have added them to my list of helpful hints for my tank...

wHERE can I get a rock like that? I have 2 that I've been trying to catch on and off for a while. good luck with yours.
