I ve had this flounder for about a year and a half and today I noticed that she was upside down trying to flip herself over, I scooped her up and she dident jolt out of my hand as usual, and when i let her go she sorta dropped to the bottom not even swimming, and when she hit the sand she evened her self out, no clue what could be wrong with her.
water parameters
ph 8.2
Nh3 0
No2 0
No3 0
salinity 1.024
These are the only things that i could find wrong with her

This is her underside (somethin's wrong cause she would never let me do this)

No anemones, its a FOWLR tank and heres a list of the other tank mates even though they dont even notice her
1 powder blue tang
1 yellow tang
1 blue angel
1 six line wrasse
1 cleaner wrasse (MIA)
4 percula clowns
3 cleaner shrimp
15+ snails
used to have hermit crabs but took them out because i though they would be the ones that were picking on her fins.
It dosent look like fin rott, sorta closer to harrassment, but like i said no one ever notices her because she camoflauges with the sand, and the only ones that noticed her were the cleaner shrimp when they walked over her and the hermit crabs. Forgot to add that shes in a 150g

my flounder is basically a scavenger and eats what the others dont, he dosent come up to eat, just gets whats on the bottom. No I havent seen him eat in the last feeding, shes just lying there on the sand, like shes in lala land. Is there a special flounder food that i should be feeding her?

awww.... how absolutely cute she is! I sure hope that she gets to feeling better. Maybe she's just having a bad day and will be back to normal soon.

arent flounders notoirously hard fish to keep for one reason or another? i thought i remember reading that somewhere how they dont make good inhabitants in regular community tanks, but i cant remember what about them pits them in that category. good luck...

I would suggest studying up on this fish, and research food needs and captivity needs. It may be that she was not getting enough to eat. What kind of substrate do you have? Is it fine particle sand?

The tank is in fine sand
and by substrate do you mean food?

dont remember the name but it was blue something from the bahamas, yes the sand is very fine, do you think he could have inhaled it when he ate some of the food?
My powder blue tang just poops out the sand that he eats, because sometimes he eats flakes off of the sand and getts a few graines by accident, they always come out looking the same way they went in.
