A buddy of mine just bought pc lighting for his 55gal. Anyway, it only has one plug. Is there a way to wire the 2 10000k and the 2 actinics seperately in order to use a timer for each? Thanks for any help.
You can if you know what you're doing. I wouldn't advise it unless you can get someone that works with electricity... just to be safe but it's not all that difficult.
If you open it up and it has two seperate ballest then you can seperate them at their suplly wires ( black and white ) and use a new cord on one ballest and the original cord on the other.
Thanks for the advice. I opened up the light and it did have two seperate ballest. I run the wires and seperated the ballest. I did a little soldering and got one ballest wired to the plug that came with the light and it worked allright. Now I just have to pick up another cord to wire the other ballest up to and cut a notch for the cord and should be good to go. Pretty simple even for a rookie like me
