I service a couple tanks for some customers and alot of there tanks have alot of green hair algae growing all over the place. What can I do to get rid of this algae other then Rock bleenys and Tangs? Any Chemicals Or Products out there for this bad bad algae. I know Chemi-Clean can take care of Red Slime Algae but what for Green hair algae?!?!?

I had huge problems with hair algae on rockwork before and I got a couple of mexican turbos and within 3 days it's all gone. Now I have the same problem on the sandbed and I am trying to get rid of it with a fighting conch.
The best way to treat hair algae is to find the source for it and try to get rid of the source.

I would stary away from chemicals until everything else is tried. ivanfj hit it right on the head...find the source, overfeeding, poor filter, dirty skimmer, insufficient water movement, pumps too weak, too long between wc. Since these aren't your tanks and you are not with them everyday, it will be hard to decide what is going on after you close the customer's door. Good luck and by the way welcome to the board. :joy:
