HELP...Hard white bumps

I have recently noticed over the last couple days some hard white bumps forming on my glass, and everything inside my tank feels kinda like sand, it isnt salt, never had this problem in the last year, what could it be, I dont have live rock, any suggestions..and what can I put in my tank to raise the ph up, I get so many conflicting answers

no they are not spiral shaped, they are very small and appear to have a teeny hole in the front, they are appearing on evrything

Wouldnt that be calcium. It never hurts to check!!

i got white things on my glass and they r spiral shape what r u those thing i got like 20 of em on the glass

dallas_tx, you are seeing feather dusters.
Maybe lovfish is seeing some sort of sponge?!?!

actually dallas it's NOT feather duster worms...but are said to indicate healty new set up tank...they are filter feeders & harmless...some people think of them as nuisances...
for original poster,tos do sound like a type of duster worm...calcerous & are harmless...
