I'm redoing my hardwood flooring. sanding and staining. should take about 3 days. Theproblem is my tank is to big to move what would be the best ways to keep sand dust/ chemicals out. Think i should just put a board overtop while the workers are working?

Are you planning on moving the tank at all or are the workers just going to refinish around the tank? I would get some heavy plastic drop cloths like you would use for painting and cover the tank with them and use some tape or something to secure it to the stand, sealing out any dust. If its only going to be for a day or 2 you should be fine with the tank covered the whole time.
