HELP!! Huma attacking Clown!!

I just introduced a 1 inch clown to my tank with a 1.5 inch huma and 3 inch maroon clown. Well, the maroon and huma keep attacking my new clown trigger. The maroon just chases him out of his territory but the huma bites him. Should I be worried? Is this normal? Should I move the live rock around so each fish can establish a new territory?

yea you could try moving the live rock around that might help. I had trouble with a clown getting beat up befor and he ended up getting killed so good luck but you should probably get rid of him and mabe get a bigger clown. by the way you should not have two types of clown fish in there that is a problem right there.

What size tank? How much LR? This is crucial...
Also I've found that juv. clowns are VERY passive compared to smaller huma huma's. I would recommend getting rid of the Huma Huma is the problem persists.

you might want to try putting him in a transparent plastic container drilled with holes for circulation and then put him in tha tank. this gives him shelter whilst the other fish climatise to his presence after a week or so if things look ok you can take him out and add him to the tank.this method is used frequently by the lfs that i use in thailand. as they have so many different tanks and species constantly being added and removed it works well.also you might want to get rid of one of the clowns.good luck the clown trigger is a really beautiful fish.

whoops sorry i thought you had two clown fish as opposed to a clownfish and a clown trigger. i have a maroon clown 3-4" and it also attacks my rectangular trigger but only during feeding time.

Well, it seems that after moving all the rock around that they're doing quite fine. Both the triggers sort of swim around together now, eating away at my live rock. They ate so much live rock that their stomachs are really bulging. I never knew rock could be so appealing. Thanks for the replies, and as you probably guessed, I did pay the 100 bones for the trigger.
