Alright, right now I have a sailfin in a 29g quarantine. Tonight I noticed some white spots on him. What should I use? And would it hurt live rock? I could take it out but I have no other place to put it? But I don't know the best stuff to use. Rid Ick? Please I never had this problem before.

I've had success with Green-x I think its made by aqua tronics, I used it in my reef tank twice and had no prblems. Be sure to treat for atleast two weeks!

Post this in the deise(sp?) section. I have heard of, no nothing about it though, of usuing copper. Kick Ick is a product that most people use. Copper kills inverts. and once you use it you can't have inverts. in that tank ever again.

if its a qtank than i think it would be ok to use copper, there are no inverts in there to kill. so id treat your qtank with some sort of medicine with copper in it.

Hey b-ball, it is not true that you can never have inverts in the tank after using copper. I am living proof that using coppersafe-which does not soak into the silicon works the best and can be easily removed with time. Do not be so quick to say never!

I always read that copper stays in the CC. I deon't know anything about coppersafe. I read regular copper stays but I'll take blame for the bad info. Sorry.

I have also found that if you increase the temp 82-83 in the tank and keep the lights off the fish tend to relax and the treatments work a lot faster.
